The Lifesaving Society first aid program is a WSIB (Workplace Safety Insurance Board) approved program used to train candidates in First Aid for general use and workplace. At EB Aquatics, we offer the following courses:
Covers the basics including how to contact emergency medical services, rescue breathing, how to treat choking and minor injuries. It features the first aid content distributed across the Rookie, Ranger and Star awards in the Canadian Swim Patrol program.
Emergency First Aid is for people who want a general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. Skills include: victim assessment, CPR, choking and what to do for external bleeding, heart attack, stroke wounds and burns.
Includes CPR-C certification. Standard First Aid provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid. Standard First Aid incorporates Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid including: legal implications of first aid treatment, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, chest injuries, and medical emergencies.
Learn CPR skills and the signs, symptoms and care of choking, non-breathing and pulseless victims. CPR courses teach the risk factors associated with heart disease and how to prevent them or reduce their effects.
